A unique solution for you and rare breed pigs
In 2008 Pete Adams decided to create a unique business that combined the breeding of rare breed pigs and the support of charities. TCPC provides a unique solution that guarantees the quality and provenance of the finest rare breed pork and at the same time, without any additional cost to customers, a donation to their charity of choice.
TCPC has five objectives:
- To raise money for charity
- To employ ex-service personnel who have been wounded in action
- To develop a network of similar businesses throughout the UK
- To promote the species survival of rare breed pigs
- To produce local, sustainable, high quality food – ‘the ultimate pork experience’
TCPC Pigs
TCPC Pigs are hand reared using traditional farming techniques at Quarley Manor farm in Hampshire. Our aim is to rear the pigs in a stress free environment. Pigs live in or outside and are free to move about as they please. This ‘1st class’ accommodation even includes a shower facility to enable the pigs to cool themselves during the Summer heat. Breeding is key to our philosophy and the blood lines of our pedigree rare breed pigs is traceable for at least 5 generations.
TCPC pigs live for more than 50% longer than the average commercially farmed pig, and enjoy a balanced and varied diet including vegetables and fruits. No growth promoters or additives are used.
